Salary: $18.15- $20.00
Earn acceptance into Price Chopper Commercial Driver Training Program. Accepted trainees will be given a program of study based on a review of their current skills and abilities. Level of entry into the Price Chopper Driver Trainer Program is determined by your assessed experience and specific background. All Trainee’s will be placed at a level in the program that will best prepare them to obtain a Class A Commercial Driver License (CDL –A). Candidates will be trained on all aspects of fleet driving & maintenance operations required of a driver. Candidates will be required to work as Fueler’s, Jockey’s and Driver Trainee’s as determined by the Safety Supervisor & Transportation Superintendent.
Other duties may be assigned.
Warehouse selector
Operate tractor-trailer truck in accordance with all federal, state and local requirements.
Follow instructor guidelines during training sessions.
Participate in Classroom & Closed Course driver training
Follow Driver Trainer instructions during all training sessions
Fuel Tractors & Trailers as assigned
Jockey Trailers as assigned
Adhere to all safety policies, procedures and best practices while performing tasks in a manner that promotes safety at all times.
Perform other related duties as assigned by management and adhere to all company policies and procedures.
Must be at least 19 years of age.
Possess a valid NYS driver’s license
Be able to pass DOT Physical requirements for acceptance into program

The disclosed compensation range for this position is applicable within the state the position resides. The actual base pay offered will consider internal equity and may also vary depending on the candidate’s job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. The compensation range is one component of Price Chopper/Market 32 and Northeast Shared Services’ total compensation and benefits package, which includes, 401(k), 401(k) match, paid time off, comprehensive health benefits, and more.
